Dr. Daniel Sable

Daniel Sable gained his specialist qualification from the University of Melbourne with a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 2002. He also holds Bachelor of Dental Science and Bachelor of Pharmacy degrees. He is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, The Australian Dental Association and the World Federation of Orthodontists. He also holds Australian Orthodontic Board certification.

Daniel spent almost a decade teaching in the Postgraduate Orthodontic Program at the University of Melbourne, as well as lecturing to dental students and dentists for continuing education. He has also made presentations to the Australian Dental Association and the Australian Society of Orthodontists and in 2002 won the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Young Lecturer’s Award.

His philosophy is to constantly evolve and embrace new technologies whilst staying true to the basic principles of sound diagnosis and treatment. He has published papers in the Australian Dental Journal, the Angle Orthodontist and the Annals of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is an avid cyclist and also enjoys running and yoga to stay fit. He loves to travel and has a keen interest in Art, Architecture and Design.

ORTHODONTIST

Dr. Andrew Pepicelli

Andrew received his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 1994. He then worked as a general dentist for six years before completing his Master of Dental Science in Orthodontics 2003.

Whilst undertaking his studies, Andrew received numerous awards for scholastic excellence. In 2000, he received the prestigious F.G. Christensen Memorial Prize for the highest aggregate marks in the primary examinations of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Andrew has been working in private specialist orthodontic practice since 2004. He takes immense pride in his work and enjoys observing the positive functional and aesthetic effects that orthodontic treatment provides to patients in his care. In order to keep up to date with the latest technological advances and materials, Andrew regularly attends local professional association meetings as well as local and international conferences.

In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys. He enjoys playing golf, reading and travelling. Andrew has a keen interest in art and exploring the wine regions of Australia, and is an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club.

ORTHODONTIST

Dr. James Newby

James obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science with honours in 2004 and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontic specialist degree) in 2013, both from The University of Melbourne. During his specialist training, James completed his research thesis on accuracy of treatment using Invisalign and has subsequently developed a particular interest in this treatment area.

James has been part of the team at Chadstone orthodontics since 2013 and loves seeing patients’ confidence grow with their new smile. With a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, James stays at the forefront of the latest techniques and technologies, regularly attending conferences both in Australia and internationally. James enjoys connecting with patients of all ages and is committed to providing a positive treatment experience and understanding each patient’s unique treatment needs and goals.

James continues to work part time in the public sector. As the former Head of the Orthodontic Department at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, James led a team of orthodontic specialists, responsible for delivering orthodontic treatment for the state of Victoria. The department is renowned for treating very complex cases, in particular, combined orthodontic and orthognathic surgical cases (patients requiring jaw surgery as part of their orthodontic treatment).

This role has also afforded James the opportunity to be involved in teaching clinical orthodontics to University of Melbourne dental students which he enjoys immensely. 

Outside of the clinic, James is an AFL Collingwood fan, loves to hit the golf course where possible and is always looking to explore different parts of the world.
